The Department offers UG Courses, PG Courses & Stipendiary Training Programs in Livestock Products Technology.

Resources of the department include:

Advising 

  • Technical advice for modernization of abattoir
  • Setting up of poultry processing and value addition units
  • Slaughterhouse waste disposal
  • Meat species identification and detection of adulteration
  • Quality analysis of meat, meat products, water and soft drinks

Learning support

  • Learning support to students from various Universities in the fields Veterinary, Nutrition& Dietetics, Biotechnology ,Agriculture, Medicine, Nursing, Food Technology, Home Science, and VHSE.

Research support

  • The department provides research support for Masters Degree Programmes in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Agriculture, Zoology and Botany, and allied disciplines.
