15India will implement choice based credit system; Says Smt.Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon'ble Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India. Minister made this announcement while inaugurating the FICCI Higher education Summit 2014 organised by Federation of Indian Industry of commerce and Industry(FICCI) at FICCI, Auditorium, New Delhi on 13th November 2014. In tune with MOOC the country will launch the Software Swayam.Government of India will give more emphasis to International collaboration with Overseas Universities to convert Indian Universities in to World class Universities. By 2030 it has been decided to convert 23 Universities in the top rating benchmark of below 200. Moreover it has been decided to generate 6 Nobel laurates in the country by 2030. Minister urged the educationalists and Universities to explore the opportunities to strengthen Higher education Sector in the Country. Chairman FICCI Higher education Comimittee Mr.Mohandas Pai delivered the keynote address. Mrs. NIkki Randhawa Haley, Hon'ble Governor of South Carolina, USA, Mr. Greg Clark and Hon'ble Minister of State for Universities, Science and Cities, UK addressed the delegates. Around 300 educationalists across the World attended the two day summit. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreneurship, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University participated in the panel discussion on changing trends in Higher education.
