PARTICIPATED IN THE HARITHOLSAVAM 2011 HELD AT MARAD, KOCHI FROM
KVASU has participated in national Agri-Horti festival organized by ministry of Agriculture, Government of India jointly with the department of Agriculture, Government of Kerala at Haritholsavam exhibition from 3rd to 7th September 2011.. The stalls of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University were designed to impart information on education, research, extension and entrepreneurship for students, farmers and the public. The dairy and meat products and publications of the University were made available for information and purchase. Hon. Chief Minister, Shri. Oommen Chandy inaugurated the function. Hon. Minister of State for food, Consumer affairs & Public distribution Govt. of India, Prof. K. V. Thomas, Hon. Minister of state for Agriculture Shri. K. P. Mohanan, Hon'ble Minister of food, Registration & Public distribution, Sri. T.M. Jacob, Hon. Minister for Public Works Kerala, Sri. V.K.IbrahimKunju Sri. V.D.Satheesan MLA, Sri..K.P.Dhanapalan MP, Hon. Vice Chancellor the university Dr.B.Ashok IAS, , Dr. M.S. Swaminathan and Dr. K.R. Viswambaran were among the few dignitaries who attended the function. Renowned scientist Dr.M.S.Swaminathan visited KVASU's exhibition.

POPULARISED ‘AISWARYA’ POULTRY PROJECT IN THE STATE
Hon'ble Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer protection, Government of India Prof. K.V.Thomas and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. Oommen Chandy launched the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University's prestigious Aiswarya Poultry project during the inaugural function of Haritholsavam2011. Aiswarya project envisages production of eggs under homestead condition with a unit consist of a specially made cage and 5 high yielding Athulya layers and 10kg of commercial feed, booklet on layer production,and a medical kit.

KVASU PARTICIPATED IN THE THIRU KOCHI ANIMAL FEST AT KOCHI
Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University participated in the Regional Exhibition and seminar held at Rajendra maidan Kochi as part of Thiru Kochi Animal Fest-Samanyayam-2012 from 14th to 16th January 2012 which was organised by Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Kerala. Hon'ble Union Minister for Food and Civil Supplies inaugurated the ‘Thirukochi’ Animal Festival. Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University's Exhibition pavilion was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture & Animal Husbandry, Government of Kerala. Sri. K.P.Mohanan on 14th January 2012. More than 10000 people including farmers and students visited the KVASU pavilion.

 

KVASU PARTICIPATED IN THE PET SHOW-2011 CONDUCTED BY SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS, PALAKKAD
The Directorate of Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Department of Extension COVAS, Mannuthy had participated in the pet show organized by SPCA, Palakkad at District Veterinary Centre Palakkad on 18th Dec, 2011. Additional District t Magistrate of Palakkad District Mr.K.V.Vasudevan presided over the function.

KVASU PARTICIPATED AT PEECHI FEST EXHIBITION
The Directorate of Entrepreneurship along with the Department of Extension COVAS, Mannuthy had participated in the ”Mahima-Peechi fest 2011” from 24th -28th December 2011. Organized by Peechi fest exhibition committee, chaired by Sri. M.P.Vincent MLA, Ollur constituency.

JEEVDARSAN OF MALABAR MRIGASAMRAKSHANA MELA 2012
Directorate of Entrepreneurship of KVASU participated in the three day exhibition Jeevdarsan of Malabar Mrigasamrakshana mela 2012 at Swapnanagari, Kozhikkode on 24th February 2012. The programme was organised by Kozhikode District administration and Animal Husbandry Department of the state. Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sri. K.P.Mohanan inaugurated Jeevdarsan.

ORGANIZED THE EXHIBITION IN CONNECTION WITH THE DAIRY AND FOOD CONFERENCE ‘SUBHIKSHA’
Participated in the exhibition organized in connection with the Dairy and Food Conference Subiksha 2012 at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of KVASU Mannuthy Campus on 11th April 2012.
