As per the provisions in Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Act & Statutes, Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer & Vigilance Officer of the University and working under supervision, direction and control of Vice Chancellor. Also, the Registrar have to act as Member Secretary of Management Council, Board of Management, Academic Council and such statutory Bodies and Committees as provided by or under Act and Statutes.
Accordingly, General Administration, Labour and Estate Divisions come under the purview of Registrar and the Office of Registrar holds duties and responsibilities attached these functions. Work is divided in to four sections where there are only three Section Officers and another section is being supervised directly by Assistant Registrar. The University Administration has the responsibility in establishment and service matters of Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff and Labourers. The University have 335 Nos. of Teaching Posts, 486 No’s of Non-Teaching Posts, 471 Nos. of Permanent Labourer posts, 99 Nos. of Casual Labourers.
