20The training programme was inaugurated on 20th January at 9.30 AM by Dr. Dildeep V. Professor and Principal Investigator, SANFT, Mannuthy. The trainees were welcomed by Dr. Surej Joseph Bunglavan, Assistant Professor and Course Director of the training programme. Twenty women trainees sponsored by the State Kudumbasree Mission from Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Kasaragod districts attended the programme. During the training programme, the trainees attended theory sessions on familiarisation of various concentrate feedstuffs, sampling techniques, total mixture ration, feeding practices for livestock, laws and guidelines on feed manufacturing, compounded feed formulation techniques, and hands-on practical sessions on the manufacture of densified complete feed block and mineral mixture formulation.
The training programme concluded on 21st January at 3.30 PM followed by a valedictory session. Dr. Surej Joseph Bunglavan, Course Director welcomed the meeting and delivered the report of the training programme followed by a presidential address by Dr. K. Ally, Dean, CVAS, Mannuthy, who congratulated the trainees and encouraged the participants to utilise the knowledge gained for establishing sustainable ventures in compounded feed and complete feed production units. Dr. Dildeep V. Professor and Principal Investigator, SANFT and Ms. Sarika District Programme Manager Kudumbasree Mission offered the felicitations. Dr. K. Ally, Dean, CVAS, Mannuthy distributed the participation certificates to all trainees. Dr. Deepa Ananth, Professor, Department of Animal Nutrition offered the vote of thanks, marking the formal conclusion of the training programme.
