Skill Enhancement Training Programme for Dairy Laboratory Technicians and Assistants at VKIDFT Mannuthi

                          The Department of Dairy Chemistry, Verghese Kurien Institute of Dairy and Food Technology (VKIDFT), Mannuthy, organised a one-day Skill Enhancement Training Programme for Dairy Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Assistants, sponsored by MILMA–Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (MRCMPU). The programme was conducted in three batches on 15 September 2026, 18 September 2026, and 25 September 2026, with the participation of approximately 28 laboratory personnel from the dairy sector. The programme was designed to strengthen their practical knowledge and analytical skills in dairy laboratory operations. The training provided an interactive platform for participants to update their technical competencies, address challenges encountered in routine laboratory practices, and bridge gaps between laboratory requirements and field-level applications. The programme highlighted the importance of continuous skill development for laboratory personnel in ensuring accurate, reliable and efficient quality testing in the dairy industry. The initiative also strengthened the collaboration between VKIDFT and MILMA–MRCMPU in capacity building and professional development of personnel working in the dairy sector.
