13A brain storming session on the forth coming breeding policy of the state was held at CVAS, Mannuthy on 13th September2011. This was organised by Centre for advanced studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Dr. B.Ashok IAS Vice Chancellor, KVASU was the co-ordinator of the session. Vice Chancellor emphasised that the revised breeding policy must benefit the dairy farmers of the state. Pricing is one of the important strands of marketing mix. It must take in to account the input cost, desirability and the quality. Representatives from KVASU, Animal Husbandry Department, Department of Dairy Development, Milk Unions, Kerala Livestock Development Board and progressive farmers participated in the session. Dr.Ani S Das( MD, KLDB), Dr.George Thomas(MRCMPU) and Dr.Kandaswamy (TANUVAS) presented papers in the session. Dr.Stephan Mathew welcomed the gathering and Dr.Usha. A.P. expressed vote of thanks.
