21The in service training on “Diseases of zoonotic importance with special emphasis on parasitic diseases” held at the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, CVAS, Mannuthy from 6th February 2012 to 10th February 2012 . Dr. K. Devada, Professor and Head was the Course Director of the programme. Sponsored by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Kerala it was a training programme for five days emphasizing on the significance of transmission of diseases from animals to man and factors related to it. Training was imparted to ten Veterinary surgeons from various districts of the state. Dr. S. Ramkumar, Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU addressed the trainees and interacted with them and released the training manual.
