Variety programmes on World Environment Day at the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy.

The Students’ Union of the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy in association with the National Service Scheme and Indian Dairy Association (Kerala chapter) organized variety programmes at the Verghese Kurien Institute of Dairy and Food Technology (VKIDFT) as part of World Environment Day 2018. On June 4th, a campus cleaning programme was organized in the forenoon session. On June 5th, an awareness class for students was taken by Dr. P.S. John, Retired Professor, KAU on the theme ‘BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION’. Dr. P. Sudheer Babu, Dean of the faculty inaugurated the programme which was presided by Students’ Union President, Kum. Manjusree. N.S.

Prizes were given to students who participated in different competitions – Wonder from waste, Idea competition, Photography competition, Troll competition and Folk Song competition. Seedlings were planted in the campus. Dr. S.N. Rajakumar (Special Officer, CFT and President – IDA Kerala chapter) and Mr. Shyam Suraj.S.R (Associate Patron) offered felicitations. Mr. Aswin S Warrier (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Adila C.K. (Secretary, Social Service League) gave headship to the programmes.
