training programme on �Newer trends in cattle feeding and feed production� conclude at CVAS Mannuthy

 A two day’s training programme on “Newer trends in cattle feeding and feed production” was conducted at the Department of Animal Nutrition, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy for farmers and entrepreneurs on 25 th and 26 th June 2019. Thirty seven participants from various districts of Kerala including farmers and entrepreneurs were attended the above programme. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Ally K, Professor & Head, Department of Animal Nutrition, CVAS Mannuthy. Eight sessions were handled by experts in the field on topics like basic principles in feed computation, selection of ingredients, ration computation, total mixed ration, nutrient requirement for various physiological stages of production and high tech farming. The participants got opportunity to visit the feed mill and get hands on training on various aspects of feed manufacturing. The valedictory function was presided by Dr. C. Latha, Dean, CVAS Mannuthy and distributed training certificates to the participants. Dr. Narayanan M.K, DE, KVASU felicitated the valedictory gathering.
