B.Tech Dairy Science & Technology Programme at Pookode campus has started functioning at the Academic Block above TVCC. The first year B.Tech (DSc. & Tech.) regular classes commenced from 29.09.2015. The Parent Teacher Association was formed consequent to the first annual general body meeting of parents and teachers held at the campus on 29.09.2015. The programme started at 10.30 a.m. with a presentation on ‘Academic Matters of B.Tech programme’ by Smt. Archana Chandran, Asst. Professor – Dept. of Dairy Microbiology. The Patron’s address was delivered by Special Officer, Dr.A.K Beena.
On 14th of October, 2015 a team of University officials-Registrar Dr. Joseph Mathew, Finance Officer Dr. K.M. Shyam Mohan, Director of Academics and Research Dr. K. Devada and Dean(COVAS,Pookode) Dr. K Vijayakumar visited the academic block and addressed the newly admitted B.Tech students. Registrar delivered a highly motivational talk highlighting the prospects of dairy professionals, which was very much appreciated by the students. He stressed the importance of development of entrepreneurial skills and assured the assistance of University to initiate “Earn while you learn” programmes in the Pookode campus. The students interacted with the University officials. Dr. K.M. Shyam Mohan,Dr. K. Devada and Dr. K Vijayakumar offered felicitations.
