AFST (I) Thrissur Chapter celebrated World Food Day

                   Association of Food Scientists and Technologists, (AFST) India Thrissur Chapter organized 16th Quiz and Poster painting competition on Food and Nutrition on 14.10.2011 in connection with World Food Day at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur. High School students participated in the competitions.

                    Kripa Ann Thomas and Leo Francis of Nirmala Matha Central School, East Fort, Thrissur bagged the first prize in Quiz competition and Rhishaba Ramkumar and Aiswarya Vijayan of Holy Family CGHS, Chembukkavu, Thrissur won the first prize in Poster painting competition. Dr. H. Subramaniam, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences presented the trophies and certificate to the winners in quiz and poster painting competition. Dr. R. Rajendra Kumar, Dean College of Dairy Science and Technology distributed awards of Academic Excellence to outgoing students in various fields in the Food and Agricultural/Animal Sciences instituted by the organization. Dr. George. T. Oommen, President of AFST (I) Thrissur chapter presided over the function. Dr. P.I. Geevarghese, National Vice President of AFST (I) offered felicitations.
