B. Tech students of the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy received Best Poster Awards at 44th DIC

2013 batch students of the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy received Second Best Poster Award at the 44th Dairy Industry Conference held at the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana. The group consisting of Mr. Jayakrishnan. K., Anju Elizabeth, Rahamath. K.S., Sajeeha M., and Dr. S. N. Rajakumar received the award for the category ‘New Product Development’. The title was ‘Development of Milk Sip Up using Nannari and Beet root extract as natural flavouring and colouring agent’. In the conference, Dr. R. Rajendra Kumar, former Dean of CDST was awarded the Fellow of Indian Dairy Association.

The 13 students and faculty Mr. Shyam Suraj S. R and Ms. Aparna S. were trapped in the Jatt riots for 3 days and the timely intervention of the KVASU authorities, Kerala House, NORKA and All India Malayali Association made it possible to bring the group back without any mishaps.
