20State level Farm feature workshop for the faculty and researchers of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode of KVASU was held at Pookode campus on 19th Oct 2011. The Director of Entrepreneurship Dr.S.Ramkumar inaugrated the workshop. Dean CVAS,Pookode Dr.Leo Joseph Presided over the function. Mr. James Jacob, Editor, Karshakan Farm Journal and Mr. N.V. Clint, Sub Editor, Rashtra Deepika,Callicut took classes on took classes on dissemination of Animal Husbandry information through farm journals and principles of writing news articles. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan took classes on changing trends in farm Journalism. Dr.Vinu David, Dr.K.S.Prasanna, Dr.P.C. Alex, Dr.George Chandy and Dr.Sajith Purushothaman presented the draft articles prepared during the workshop.
Vice Chancellor KVASU, Dr.B.Ashok, IAS adressed the gathering during the Valedictory function. Vice Chancellor emphasised the importance of writing popular articles for successful implementation of the technology transfer programmes and launched the Veterinary News Services of the University by handing over the VET UTY NEWS to Dr.Leo Joseph, Dean,CVAS, Pookode. 45 faculty members participated in the workshop and Vice Chancellor distributed the certificates.
