KVASU Supplies breeding bucks to the Kannur Goat producers company limited The Kannur goat producers company formed with the initiative of Kannur Kudumbasree unit supported by the KVASU will be one of members of KVASUs satellite unit of breeding buck

                                   The Kannur goat producers company formed with the initiative of Kannur Kudumbasree unit supported by the KVASU will be one of members of KVASUs satellite unit of breeding bucks under ICAR progeny testing scheme for goats. 15 breeding bucks have been supplied from the university to the breeding units of the producers company which accounts to a total of 20 breeding bucks. The university will monitor the performance of the units for one year under the ICAR scheme. The Directorate of Entrepreneurship would continue to support the units and help the company to monitor the performace as well as its organisation. To build entrepreneurship the directorate would help in providing health camps, breeding monitoring and precision nutrition. The university has earlier supplied moringa saplings and agathy for farmers as part of nutritional support. The producers company has 800 farmers and is planning to involve 5000 members by end of this year.
