15The 16thAnnual Review Meet of ICAR-AICRP on Goat Improvement was held at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy on May, 11-12, 2016. The meet was inaugurated by Dr. Dr.R.S.Gandhi, ADG (AP & B), ICAR and presided over by Dr. Joseph Mathew, Registrar, KVASU. Dr.K.Devada, Director (Academics and Research) welcomed the gathering and Dr. M. S. Chauhan, Director, CIRG offered opening remarks. Eight publications including Monograph on Malabari Goat was released during the occasion. The meet was attended by Dr.Vineet Bhasin, Principal Scientist, ICAR, Dr. P.K.Rout, Project Co-ordinator and 26 Scientist from 18 AICRP units across the country. Dr. K.Anil Kumar, Dean i/c offered vote of thanks.

KVASU Vice Chancellor, Sri. Subrata Biswas, IAS urged the Scientist to augment quality goat kid production
On the occasion of 16th Review Meet of ICAR-AICRP on Goat Improvement held at KVASU, Mannuthy, Honourable Vice Chancellor, KVASU and Agriculture Production Commissioner Sri. Subrata Biswas, IAS, urged the scientist to bridge the gap between availability and requirements of quality goat kids. He also emphasized the need to optimize the feeding practices and disease preventive measures for better returns to farmers.
