03The College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy along with the Indian Dairy Association (Kerala Chapter) celebrated 16th World Milk day on June 1, 2016 at the KVASU Dairy Plant, Mannuthy. Dr. G. Girish Varma, Dean hoisted the dairy flag and Dr. P. I. Geevarghese, Chairman (IDA Kerala Chapter) gave the World Milk Day Message. Ms. Abila Krishna, Teaching Assistant recited the dairy oath to the students. Mr. Shyam Suraj S.R. welcomed the faculty and students and Dr. Ligimol James gave the vote of thanks. Palada pradhaman was served to all. The Farmers training programme, which then followed was inaugurated by Dr. S.N. Rajakumar, Head of Dairy Plant/Department of Dairy Technology. Dr. Divya M.P, Assistant Professor took class to the farmers on ‘Milk Testing and Pricing’ which was followed by practical sessions handled by Ms. Anumol Jijo, Teaching Assistant. The farmers were given dairy farm kits as compliment.
