Hands on Training on Basic Ophthalmic Diagnostic Procedures in Veterinary Practice was organized at the Department of Surgery and Radiology, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy from 16-18th June 2016. This was the first batch of the training series where six participants from different parts of Kerala and Tamilnadu attended the Programme. The training was inaugurated by Dr.K.Vijayakumar, Director of Clinics, KVASU, Pookode on 16-6-2016. Participants were given hands on training on various ophthalmic diagnostic procedures including direct ophthalmoscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp biomicroscopyand various common ophthalmic affections in large and small animals. The training concluded on 18-6-2016 and the certificates to the participants were distributed by the Dr.Sisilamma George, Dean, CV & AS, Mannuthy on the valedictory function where Dr.C.B.Devanand, Professor and Head, Dept of Surgery and Radiology welcomed the gathering and Dr.S.Anoop, Assistant Professor and Course Director expressed vote of thanks.
