Harvest of the fodder maintained by the 2015 batch B. Tech (Dairy Science and Technology) students of CDST, Mannuthy.

The harvest of the fodder plot maintained by the 2015 batch B. Tech (Dairy Science and Technology) students of Mannuthy was done by the Faculty Dean, Dr. G. Girish Varma on 3.9.2016. The fodder plot was prepared as part of the practical for the course – Agronomy and Forage Production of Semester I. The credit for the efforts of the students is to the course teacher Dr. Yancy Mary Issac, Assistant Professor (Dairy Husbandry) whose motivation has resulted in an excellent fodder plot near to the Goat and Sheep farm consisting of Hybrid Napier ( Co-3, Co-4 and Co-5), Fodder sorghum, Guinea grass, Para grass, Stylosanthes, Maize, Cow pea, Agathi and Subabul. The area shall remain as the practical plot for the new batches also. The cultivated fodder shall be given for feeding the animals of the Sheep and Goat farm. Mr. Shyam Suraj S.R, Academic i/c also attended the harvest.
