College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy celebrated National Unity Day.

Under the auspices of the National Service Scheme, Social Service League and Student's Union, CDST Mannuthy celebrated National Unity Day ( Rashtriya Ektha Diwas) on October 31, 2016. The day is commemorated as the 141st Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the 'Iron Man of India'. The day is also remembered as the martyr day of the Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi also called ‘Iron Woman of India’. As part of the celebration, 'Pledge of Unity' was taken by the students and faculty in the morning at the Seminar Hall of Dairy Plant under the leadership of Dr. G. Girish Varma, Dean of faculty. Sweets were distributed to students. Later in the evening a 'Run for Unity' was organized from the Dairy Plant to the Administrative block of CDST. Dean flagged off the run and addressed the students.
