Farmer Scientist Interaction will be held at CVAS, KVASU, Pookode, Wayanad on 20th December 2011

            In the changing scenario of market fluctuations and increasing incidences of farmer’s suicides in some parts of the state, Directorate of Entrepreneurship of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is planning to organize a one day farmer scientist interaction at  Seminar Hall, CVAS,University campus, Pookode on 20th December 2001 at 10AM.
Identify the problems faced by the farmers, Suggest remedial measures for solving the farmers problems in the areas of breeding, feeding, management, disease control and marketing, Familiarize the farmer friendly technologies developed by the university having field level application and  formulate an action plan to improve the sustainability in farming systems and to augment the livelihoods of livestock based farmers are the major objectives of this Farmer scientist interaction.
            50 livestock farmers from Wayanad district will attend the farmer scientist interaction. Scientists from different disciplines of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode Campus will address field based technologies and queries of farmers in the areas of Breeding, Feeding, Management, Disease Control and Marketing.
