21A workshop to analyse the training needs of members of Women Self Help Groups was organised by Directorate of Entrepreneurship at Entrepreneurship and Peripheral Clinical Centre of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University at Mennangadi on 21st December 2011 at 11AM. Women members belonging to Kudumbasree from Wayanad District participated in the above exercise. The meeting was conducted as break away teams which was facilitated under the leadership of Dr.S.Ramkumar, Director of Entrepreneurship. Dr.R.Senthilkumar, Dr.Sajith Purushothaman, Dr.Bipin.K.C, Dr.Vinod. V.K, Dr.Gireesh, Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Dr.Nija George and Dr.Sumesh of Kerala VEterinary and Animal Sciences University facilitated the team work. All the participants were livestock farmers and evinced interest in undergoing an organised training programme of KVASU in different aspects of sustainable livestock farming.Moreover the interacting scientists could build innovative approaches through appropriate linkages for building sustainable partnership to benefit the livelihoods of the participating members.Innovative fodder production, institutional linkages, livelihood security and scientific management practices were discussed during the workshop.
