Sumedha begins at Idukki from 26th January 2017

  Sumedha the Socio Educational Entrepreneurship programme of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will begin at Idukki District from 26th January 2017. As part of this an Orientation programme for Teachers under advanced and Participatory learning programme will be held at Peerumade in association with the SPICES the educational initiative of Peerumade.The programme will highlight the importance of decision making, leadership, communication, skill development along with the need for selecting the courses based on interest, aptitude and attitude of the students.  Teachers training programme will be held under trainers training programme. Trained teachers will conduct awareness classes in the high schools and Higher Secondary Schools. Different sessions include how to select courses for higher education, leadership for teachers, tips on good teaching, KVASU’s courses, opportunities in poultry sector and use and misuse of Plastics. Career guidance programme will highlight the importance of Science, Humanities, Commerce, Business studies, Engineering, Mathematics and Management along with introduction to competitive examinations. KVASU Scientists and Scientists of KVASU Base Farm, Kolahalamedu will take classes. As part of Sumedha, an awareness Seminar on higher education for Plus two students and parents will be held at Peerumade and Kumily Grama Panchayats on 27th January 2017.
