02CDST, Mannuthy in association with Indian Dairy Association – Kerala chapter celebrated World Milk Day at KVASU Dairy Plant. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. G. Girish Varma, Dean of the faculty of Dairy Science. He hoisted the Dairy Flag and gave the World Day Message. Dr. P.I. Geevarghese, Chairman, Indian Dairy Association- Kerala Chapter addressed the students and briefed about World Milk Day. Dr. S.N. Rajakumar, Head, KVASU Dairy Plant offered felicitation. Dr. Ligimol James welcomed the gathering and Mr. Aswin S. Warrier offered the vote of thanks. As part of the celebration, an awareness class on milk was conducted for housewives at the Seminar Hall and students from Victory ITC visited the Dairy Plant to understand the engineering aspects of milk processing. Palpayasam was distributed as part of the celebration.
A curtain raiser of 46th Indian Dairy Industry Conference was opened by Dr. G. Girish Varma, Dean of the faculty. The conference is scheduled on February 8, 9 and 10 at Adlux Convention Centre, Angamali, Ernakulam district.
