19The Students’ Union of the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Mannuthy in association with National Service Scheme, Indian Dairy Association – Kerala Chapter, CDSTPTA and Navaneetham – Lecture series organized variety programmes as part of Farmer’s Day on 17.8.2017. The programme started at 9.30 am with the cleaning of CDST campus by students and faculty. The death of children at Gorakhpur, UP were condoled by lighting candles.
A wall magazine of the Students’ Union – ‘IDANAZHI’ was inaugurated by Dr. S.N.Rajakumar, Head, Dairy Plant and Dr. P.I. Geevarghese, Chairman, IDA – Kerala Chapter. Lecture series was conducted at the Seminar Hall. Class was taken by Dr. Biju.S., Assistant Professor (LPM) of CoVAS, Mannuthy on the topic - ‘Evolution of food habits vis-à-vis agriculture and animal husbandry practices’. Ms. Meghna. P.S, President of Students’ Union presided over the function. Students’ Union members Mr. Advaith, Mr. Mohammad Riyas, Mr. Reji and Kum. Rakhendhu Saji spoke on the occasion.
