15The Students’ Union of the College of Dairy Science and Technology Mannuthy organized a three day short film fest titled ‘Cineaste’ from 2018 February 1-3 at the Seminar Hall of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sagar Satyan, a young script writer and director of short films and dramas.
Dr. Sudheer Babu, Dean addressed the students. Meghna. P.S, Students’ Union President presided over the function. Shyam Suraj S.R., Associate patron gave the felicitation. Vyshak V.L. welcomed the gathering and Mr. Reji A.J. gave the vote of thanks.
In the three days, 4 feature films and 10 short films were exhibited. A short film competition was conducted for the students which had 11 entries. The first prize was received by the film ‘Veil’ directed by Ms. Vidya and team (2015 batch) and second prize by ‘Fire’ directed by Mr. Sajin and team (2016). The best actor was Mr. Reji A.J and actress was Ms. Meghna P.S. Best Camera award was given to Ms. Vidya and team.
