25‘Aaranyakam’, the initiative for implementing green protocol in Mannuthy Veterinary College campus was inaugurated by Sri. Balakrishnan Master, Anamangad, Perinthalmamnna (Retired teacher, Thutha High School) on 23-05-2018 at CVAS, Mannuthy. Dean, Dr. C. Latha presided over the inaugural programme. Nodal officer of ‘Aaranyakam’, Dr. M.K. Narayanan, welcomed the gathering. Smt. Girija Teacher, wife of Balakrishnan Master, who donated 60 plants for ‘Aaranyakam’ offered felicitations. Dr. S. Harikrishnan expressed vote of thanks. Teachers, non-teaching staff and students actively participated in the programme. This movement for making Mannuthy campus plastic free and maintaining it clean and green is being implemented in association with the Harithakeralam mission of Governement of Kerala and with active participation of all stakeholders. Dr. Lucy Sabu, Professor, Department of Parasitology donated a mangosteen plant for the programme. As a part of this programme, more than 60 plants were planted in Mannuthy campus.
