Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

The 150th Gandhi jayanthi was celebrated with great respect and enthusiasm at College of Avian Sciences and Management, Thiruvazhamkunnu. Assembly was held in the seminar hall of the college at 08.00 AM. Dr. Shamna TP, College Associate Patron welcomed the gathering. Dr. G. Girish Varma, the Special Officer inaugurated the gathering and delivered a speech about the life of Mahatma Gandhi and the values he stood for. He emphasized the significance of celebrating Gandhi jayanti. The gathering came to an end with the vote of thanks by Dr. Vimal Antony, Assistant Professor. As per the instruction of Special Officer, The students and staff were engaged in the campus cleaning programme. The students cleaned the class rooms, Academic block, surroundings of Men’s Hostel and Ladies hostel under the supervision of Dr. Shamna TP, Dr. Vimal Antony, Mr. Roy, Senior Farm Supervisor and Teaching Assistants. The Teaching faculty and non-teaching staff along with 60 students took participation in the occasion. The programme came to an end at 11.00 AM.
