15World egg day was celebrated at College of Avian Sciences and Management , Thiruvazhamkunnu on October 13, 2018. Special officer Dr. G.Girish Varma addressed laborers of ARS and LRS, students of CASM, Thiruvazhamkunnu and the OJT students of Alanellur VHSE. The special officer discussed that the idea behind the day is, raising awareness about the important place eggs have in human nutrition and emphasised the importance of egg as a cheapest quality protein pack. He reminded the gathering to create awareness among people regarding the nutritional benefit of egg and to promote and popularize egg consumption as a part of balanced diet. Boiled egg was distributed to laborers of ARS and LRS of Thiruvazhamkunnu Campus, students of CASM and the OJT students. Students union of CASM,Thiruvazhamkunnu organized an essay writing competition for the students of CASM and VHSE Alanellur.
