10Depatment of Animal Husbandry organised State level Award Distribution Ceremony on 8th February 2012 at Vyloppally Samskriti Bhavan, Trivandrum to gave away awards to Best Veterinary Officer, Farm Officer and Livestock Inspector of the State. Dr.G.Sharmila, Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinar Dispensary, Akathethara, Palakkad and Dr.Parakash, Asst Director, Regional Poultry Farm Malampuzha were selected as the best Veterinarians of the state by Department of Animal Husbandry. Mr.Habeed, Livestock Inspector, Munnar has been selected as the best Livestock Inspector of the State. Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sri. K.P.Mohanan inaugurated the Award distribution Ceremony and gave away the awards. Sri. K.Muralidharan MLA presided over the function. Quarterly Publication of Animal Husbandry Department Jeevajalakam and CDs were released during the function. A state level seminar on Veterinary Services was held along with the Award distributing function.Vice Chancellor Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Sri. K.Jayakumar IAS inaugurated the Seminar. Director of Animal Husbandry Dr.K.Vijayakumar welcomed the gathering. Additional Director(Planning) Dr.K.G.Suma was the moderator. Additional Director(AH) Dr.Mohan. J.presented a paper on Veterinary Services. Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan of Directorate of Entrepreneurship presented a paper on Changing Extension Trends in Livestock Secor. Dr.R.Venugopal, Asst Director ADDLand Dr.Gopakumar, Veterinary Surgeon, RAIC, Pathanamthitta presented a paper on Commercial Farming and Cattle Breeding Policy respectively.
