Visit of students and faculty members from Cornell, Purdue and Assam Agricultural University at Meat Technology Unit.

A team of 30 students and faculty members of Kerala Agricultural University under the International Agriculture and Rural Development Programme– 2019 visited Meat Technology Unit on 9th January 2019. The team included 20 foreign students and faculty from Cornell University, USA and 10 Indian nationals from Assam Agricultural University, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad and Kerala Agricultural University.

Dr. Sunil. B, Professor and Head, MTU welcomed the team and the Assistant Professors of the unit Dr. Sathu.T, Dr. V. N. Vasudevan and Dr. Irshad. A explained about the facilities and routine activities in the department and introduced them with the different products available in the department. This was followed by an interactive session wherein the team shared their doubts and experiences at Cornell. The team appreciated the initiatives and activities of MTU as a research and technology hub in the country, contributing towards the development of a sustainable meat industry.
