01The first incubation project under the Technology Business Incubation center, Directorate of Entrepreneurship, Silky pet spa and Esteem K9 training center was inaugurated by Adv. K. Rajan, Hon’ble Chief Whip of Kerala and Member of Legislative Assembly on 31st August, 2019 at TVCC complex Mannuthy. On the inaugural address he opined that the university should be a pilgrim center for farmers and entrepreneurs in this sector. The program was presided by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Prof. (Dr.) M. R. Saseendranath. The project on developing pet spa and Esteem K9 training center was conceptualized by TBIC and started with advanced facilities near Mannuthy veterinary hospital. The spa will provide facilities such as grooming, dematting, deshedding, hair cutting, show cutting, trimming and other health and welfare aspects such as ear cleaning, medicated bathing, dental cleaning, nail cutting etc. Honorable Vice-Chancellor congratulated on inception of such facilities at Mannuthy campus and said that this would facilitate skill development for future employability in this sector. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Joseph Mathew, Hon’ble Registrar KVASU; and Dr. M. K. Narayanan, Director of Entrepreneurship presented the report of the project. The Hon’ble Vic-chancellor Prof. (Dr.) M. R. Saseendranath and Advt. A. S. Ramadasan, Councilor of Thrissur Corporation released the brochure. The Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Mannuthy Dr. C. Latha, and Dr. Soji, AHD Thrissur, delivered the felicitation addresses. The vote of thanks was offered by principal investigator of TBIC Dr. Deepa Ananth.
