Annual Conference of Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery - Kerala Chapter, first Prof.(Dr.) P.O. George commemoration speech and Continuing Veterinary Education  programme on topic 'New perspectives in Large Animal  anaesthesia’ was  conducted on at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy on Sunday 20th October 2019.

Prof. (Dr) M.R. Saseendranath, Vice Chancellor of KVASU inaugurated the programmes. The function was presided by Dr C. Abraham Varkey, Professor of Surgery (Retd.). Dr S.Ravindran Nayar, Professor of Surgery (Retd.)delivered the first commemoration speech on Late Prof. (Dr.) P O George. Dr.T. Sarada Amma, Professor of Surgery (Retd.) and Dr.M.K.Narayanan, Director of Entreprunership and Member of BOM of KVASU offered felicitations. Dr C. B. Devanand welcomed the gathering   and Dr Deepu Philip Mathew, proposed vote of thanks. Dr. S. Senthil Kumar, Faculty from Tamil Nadu Veterinary Animal Sciences Univeristy presented the topic on ‘New perspectives in Large Animal Anaesthesia’ and gave hands-on training in inhalation anaesthesia techniques in cattle.

Dr. K. Rajankutty (President), Dr M.Sumangala (Vice President), Dr Laiju. M. Philip (Secretary), Dr S Sooryadas (Joint Secretary) Dr Deepu Philip Mathew, Dr C.J.Nithin (Zonal secretaries) were elected as new office bearers of ISVS Kerala Chapter.
