3000 saplings were planted at Pookot Veterinary University Campus.

The concluding ceremony of the tree planting program started on the occasion of World Environment Day was inaugurated by Dr. (Prof.) M.R.Saseendranath, Vice Chancellor of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Registrar Dr. N. Ashok, Director of Entrepreneurship Dr. M.K.Narayanan, Finance Officer M. Sreelatha, Comptroller of Examinations Dr.K.M.Lucy and Dean Dr. Koshy John attended. The saplings were provided by the Kalpetta Social Forestry Range under the Wayanad Social Forestry Division. The saplings were planted in collaboration with the Vaithiri Grama Panchayat Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme. Campus Development Officer Dr Vinaya C. Damu led the function.
