22International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was celebrated at CVAS, Mannuthy
Celebration of International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was organised by the National Service Scheme Units- 1 & 2 of CVAS, Mannuthy on 26th June 2020. A webinar by Sri. Ramesh. P, Sub Inspector of Police, Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur was arranged to students through Google meet platform in order to create awareness against the harmful effects resulting from the use of tobacco, liquor and drugs. Apart from the webinar, essay and poetry writing competitions in Malayalam and English were also held for the students. Dr. Justin Davis, Programme Officer, NSS unit-2 welcomed the gathering. Dr. T.S. Rajeev, Director, Students welfare and NSS coordinator, KVASU presided the function. Dr. C. Latha, Dean, CVAS, Mannuthy inaugurated the function and announced the winners of various competitions. Dr. Sreeranjini. A.R., Programme Officer, NSS unit-1 delivered vote of thanks. 125 students participated in the webinar that was held from 6-7 pm.
