20Karshakamithra Medical Store at TVCC, Pookode inaugurated on 17-01-2022
Karshakamithra Margin Less Medical Store under Revolving Fund Scheme of KVASU started functioning at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Pookode. Medical Store was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.). M. R. Saseendranath on 17th January 2022.
Karshakamithra medical store started with an initial corpus fund of Rs. 6.75 Lakhs from KVASU. Medicines and other items will be sold through medical store at a discounted price. All necessary licenses for scheduled and narcotic drugs are already obtained for the new store. It is targeted to repay the corpus fund within a period of five years.
Medical store has started with the objective of ensuring availability of essential veterinary medicines and surgical items to the farming community of Wayanad and neighbouring districts at an affordable rate. This is the third medical store of this kind started functioning under KVASU, the other two are at Kokkalai and Mannuthy in Thrissur.
Dr. N. Ashok, Director (Academics & Research), Dr. M. K. Narayanan, Director (Entrepreneurship), Smt. Sreelatha M. (Finance Officer), Dr. Ajithkumar S., Director of Clinics and Dr. Ajith Jacob George, Dean (CVAS, Pookode) were present for the inaugural function. Dr. C. B. Manomohanan (Former Registrar, KVASU) and Dr. P. C. Alex (Former Professor and Head, TVCC) graced the occasion with their presence.
