29 Activties of first University Sudents Union of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University started with effect from 26th May 2012. Noted Music Director Sri. Ouseppachan inaugurated the activities of KVASU students union 2012-13 on 26th May 2012. Inaugural function was held at Golden Jubilee Hall of CVAS, Mannuthy. Ms. Anjali Krishna, the President of the University Union presided over the function. Registrar of KVASU, Dr. CB. Manomohan, VicePatron, Dr. P. C.Alex, Director of Entrepreneurship, Prof. S. Ramkumar and Director Students’ Welfare Dr. P.J. Rajkamal addressed the gathering. Felicitations were given by the Director of Research Dr. A. Jalaludeen, Dean COVAS, Dr. H. Subramanian and Dean CDST Dr Rajendrakumar. Speaking on the occasion Sri. Ouseppachan mentioned the importance of music in the lives of people and how music of nature like from birds inspire him to compose famous tunes. Ms. Anjali gave brief report on what the Union proposed to do in the coming Year. Registrar emphasized the need to work together as a team for the welfare and development of the new University. He also carried the message of the Patron who could not attend the meeting due to some unavoidable circumstances. Mr. Joseph, General Secretary of the University Students Union welcomed the gathering and Mr. Shihab Jt. Secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
The art evening was a memorable one with a Gazal tribute by the famous playback singer Ms. Gayatri, who was accompanied by the famous music director Shri. Ignatious. There was vibrant dances and melodious songs rendered by the students from the three colleges of the University.
