National workshop on Dairy processing to meet the Global Challenges will begin at Thrissur on 27th September 2012

               National workshop on “Revamping Education and Research in Dairy Processing to meet global challenges” organised by College of Dairy Science and Technology of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will be held at Hotel Ashoka Inn, Thrissur from 27th to 28th September 2012. Dr. B.Ashok IAS, Vice Chancellor, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will inaugurate the workshop and deliver Dr.Varghese Kurien memmorial lecture on 27th September 2012. The seminar will focus on strategies to renovate the current framework of research and education to accommodate the ever growing demands of Indian dairy industry. The event will be an excellent platform for interactions and sharing of experiences between academicians, experts, researchers, industrialists and policy makers across the country on diverse themes in dairy education and research.The speakers in the workshop will be  from the cross section of eminent planners, educationalists and professionals, associated with dairy and food industry/education. The organizations /departments / co-operatives/ industries identified for this include ICAR, NDRI, NDDB, AMUL, CFTRI, DFRL, KCMMF, KLDB, Dairy Development Department of Kerala, KSCSTE, VIDYA DAIRY, MOTHER DAIRY and reputed private industries.
