Vice Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University Dr.B.Ashok IAS condoled the death of eminent management consultant and animal welfare expert Professor N.S.Ramaswamy.N.S. Ramaswamy, popularly known as Cartman Ramaswamy, passed away at Bangalore on 17th September 2012. He was the founder of CARTMAN-Centre for Action, Research and Technology for Man, Animal and Nature which actively campaigned for animal rights. Professor Ramaswamy through his study on un scientific slaughter houses and abattoir management highlighted the importance of modernizing meat industry in the country.
Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will follow his path and try to implement some of his unique projects in the areas of animal welfare and abattoir management. University will start a centre on Animal welfare in memory of Late Professor N.S.Ramaswamy. Vice Chancellor added.
