02The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Pookode, and the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI), Peechi, have signed an MoU for collaboration in the academic programmes in the field of wildlife studies. The MoU was signed by the Vice Chancellor of KVASU, Dr. B. Ashok IAS, and the Director of KFRI, Dr. K.V. Sankaran, during a function organized at the KVASU Camp Office, Mannuthy, on 30th of October, 2012. The function was attended by Dr. K.P. Sreekumar (Registrar, KVASU), Dr. V.V. Sudheendrakumar (Registrar, KFRI), Dr. A. Jalaludeen (Director of Academics and Research), Dr. S. Ramkumar (Director of Entrepreneurship), Dr. H. Subrahmanian (Dean, Mannuthy), Dr. E.A. Jayson (Scientist, KFRI), Dr. George Chandy (Officer-in-Charge, KVASU-CWS) and Dr. A.S. Lala (Academic Consultant, KVASU-CWS). This will benefit the students of KVASU in training wildlife related subjects and research. Moreover it will strengthen the association between the two organizations in tune with the global developments in the field of Conservation Medicine.
