Workshop on “Emergency preparedness and Management of Zoonotic and Foodborne Diseases” held at CVAS, Pookode

              Valedictory function of two day workshop on Emergency preparedness and Management of Zoonotic and Foodborne Diseases was held on 20/12/2012 at CVAS, Pookode. Workshop was organized by Directorate of Entrepreneurship, KVASU at Department of Veterinary Public Health, COVAS, Pookode intended to strengthen One Health concept and develop an effective liason between the Directorate of health Service and the University. Health officials from Wayanad district participated the workshop. Director of Entrepreneurship, Dr. S. Ramkumar during the presidential address briefed about One health concept. Honorable Vice chancellor, Dr. B. Ashok, gave the valedictory speech and distributed certificates. VC stressed on the need for conducting such program on regular basis and also extending the sophisticated university laboratory services to reach the general public. Vice Chancellor released the leaflet and workshop CD which was received by District Medical Officer, Wayanad. The DMO (H), Dr. A. Sameera appreciated the efforts taken by the university to conduct such workshop. Registrar, Dr. K. P. Sreekumar and the Director of Academic and Research, Dr. A. Jalaludeen felicitated the function. Dean Dr. Leo Joseph welcomed the delegates and Course Coordinator Dr. Prejit proposed vote of thanks.
