KVASU condoles the demise of Professor P.A.Ommer

                Dr. P. A. Ommer , Former Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Anatomy, CVAS, Mannuthy left for his heavenly abode on 06.02.13. He was 80. Dr. P. A. Ommer, born to Sri. Ahmed Koya and Smt. Kunjabi in Alappuzha district in the year 1933, owns the reputation as a devoted teacher and an efficient scientist. He completed BVSc degree in 1959 from the Kerala Veterinary College and Research Institute and MVSc in Veterinary Anatomy from Madras Veterinary College in 1965. He acquired FRVAC from Denmark in the year 1971.
                 Dr. P. A. Ommer started his career as Veterinary Surgeon in Animal Husbandry Department, Kerala in 1959. Later he joined as Junior Lecturer in department of Anatomy, Kerala Veterinary College in the year 1960 and was promoted as Senior Lecturer in the year 1984. He served as the Head of Department since 1986 till his superannuation in 1993. During his tenure, he has published two text books and was the member of Academic Council in Kerala Agricultural University.His monumental contributions as a teacher and researcher in the field of Veterinary Anatomy were well recognized.VIce Chancellor,Officers, Faculty members, staff and students of KVASU condole the demise of Professor Ommer.
