Health beverage from KVASU Dairy plant

University Dairy Plant, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy developed and officially launched a new milk based beverage, ‘Healthy way’ during the National Workshop on Emerging Career and Business Opportunities in Food Processing, held on 1st March2011 at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy. It was prepared from Whey. Whey contains expensive whey proteins with very high biological value. These proteins are even superior to egg protein in terms of nutrition and contribution to the building of muscle tissue. It is a rich source of lactose and minerals originally present in milk. It is available for sale at the Dairy plant,Mannuthy.
