04 Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery Kerala Chapter in collaboration with Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy Campus Thrissur is organizing of XXXVII Annual Congress of Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery and National Symposium on “Need for Specialization and Super specialization in Veterinary Surgery and Imaging Techniques for Professional Efficiency Development” at Thrissur on 6th, 7th and 8th November, 2013. In the era of globalization where food security issues are emerging, the theme for this symposium has got tremendous significance in animal health in terms of welfare and productivity. It is expected that the topic will help the practitioners, researchers and educationists to have a skilled and sophisticated approach for the benefit of livestock and companion animals. Abstracts of papers, not exceeding 150 words, typed in MS word, Times New Roman, font 12 point size should be sent by E- mail to isvskerala2013@gmail.com. The soft copy or CD may be sent so as to reach to the Organizing Secretary, 37th Annual Congress of ISVS on or before 10th October 2013. The papers shall be accepted only if the person presenting the paper/poster had registered for the ISVS Congress 2013 before 10th October 2013. There will be sessions on Theme, Anesthesiology, Radiology and Imaging Techniques, Equine Surgery, Ruminant Surgery, Small Animal Surgery, Avian Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Wild and Zoo Animal Surgery and Poster sessions on Large Animal Surgery and Small Animal Surgery in addition to the Award session. The award session will include distribution of Dr. Ratan Singh Memorial Award for life time achievement in the field of Veterinary Surgery, Dr. R. P. S. Tyagi Oration Award, Anil Arun Chandna Best Surgeon Award, Dr. O. Ramakrishna Oration Award, Fellow, Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery, Dr. M. R. Patel Award for best field Veterinarian, Dr. A.K. Bhargava Memorial Award, Young Surgeon’s Award (Below 35 years), Best Field Clinician Award and Scientific sessions awards for best paper and poster presentations.
