AFST Thrissur chapter organised Quiz and Poster making competition

The Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) Thrissur Chapter and Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University jointly organized the XVIII Quiz and Poster competition as part of 'World Food Day" with the theme 'Food and Nutrition' on 18th October, 2013,Friday at Veterinary College Auditorium, Mannuthy for High School Students. There was overwhelming response to the programme and students from 21 Schools participated in the event. The First prize for Quiz Competition was won by Miss Panjami and Nimmi Saji of Holy Family H.S Thrissur. Second prize was for Master Abhishek P S and Nithin Jose of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Thrissur and third prize was won by Miss Arpitha Unni and Ajmal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ottapalam.

The first prize for poster making competition was won by Miss Nayana of Holy Family H.S Thrissur, second prize was won by Miss Praseedha Parameswaran of KAU H.S Vellanikkara and third prize was for Master Abin Paul of Fr. Mathew Alakam Public School.The Valedictory Function was Presided over by Dr. George T Oommen, National Vice President AFST (I), the Chief Guest of the Day was Dr. Jose Mathew, Director of Extension, KAU. Dr. Aravindh Gosh, Dean i/c CVAS, Mannuthy; Dr. P.I. Geevarghese, Dean i/c CDST, Mannuthy and Dr. C T Sathian, President AFST (I) Thrissur Chapter gave felicitation speech. Dr. Dipu M T, Assistant Professor was the Quiz Master for the stage Quiz. Dr. C Sethulekshmi, Secretary, AFST (I) Thrissur Chapter welcomed the gathering and Dr. Binu K Mani, Convenor proposed vote of thanks.
