Dr.T. M. Thomas Isaac visited KVASU Meat Technology Unit

                     Former Finance Minister and Economist Dr.T.M Thomas Isaac MLA visited Meat Technology Unit of KVASU on 19/10/2013.He was accompanied by various local body members and officials from Mararikulam. Dr. George T Oommen, Professor& Head, explained various activities of the Unit. Dr.Isaac enthusiastically observed various activities and sections of the Unit, and discussed the small scale entrepreneurial possibilities in meat sector suitable for SHGs. Dr. Isaac appreciated the efforts of the MTU faculty and staff, and also stressed the need to have a long term collaboration on training and technical assistance between KVASU Meat Technology Unit and various local bodies.SHG members from Mararikulam will be undergoing a training on hygienic processing and marketing of tripe shortly at Meat Technology Unit.
