11As part of skill development programme of Animal Husbandry Department, 25 days training programme for the second batch of entrepreneurs in the area of Hatchery management was started at Centre for Advanced studies in Poultry Science of KVASU, Mannuthy Campus, Thrissur in association with Directorate of Entrepreneurship..45 entrepreneurs identified through Livestock Management Training Centres across the State are attending the programme. They will be given hands on training in different areas of Hatchery management including breeding, feeding, management, disease control, marketing, organic farming, project formulation,etc.Experts from KVASU, Animal Husbandry Department, local bodies and NABARD will handle different sessions. Inaugural session was held at Centre for advanced Studiesin poultry Science on 11th November 2013. Dr.K.Narayanankutty, Director, CAS in Poultry Science presided over the function. Dr.A.Jalaludeen, Special Officer, Poultry Science faculty of KVASU inaugurated the training programme.Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan, Head, Publications Dr.P.Anitha(Senior Scientist, AICRP on Poultry) and Dr.S.Sankaralingam, Asst Professor and Head, UPDF, Mannuthy offered felicitations. Training co-ordinator Dr.B.Ajith Babu welcomed the trainees and Dr.Binoj Chacko expressed vote of thanks.
