21As part of Shastri Indo- Canadian Partnership, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) and University of Calgary will soon sign an MOU in to an International collaboration in the areas of Livestock and Wild life research. Dr.Jacob Thundathil will be heading the team from University of Calgary so as to finalize the formalities of signing the MOU with KVASU. Calgary is one of the top eight research universities in Canada. The partnership envisages exchange of students and faculty to foster cooperative relationships in the field of Academics and research. As part of international collaboration KVASUwill also be linking up with a leading French research institute under the Ministry of Food in areas of animal health, public health and distance learning. These international collaborations are expected to give the much need fillip to the academic, research and extension activities of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Dr K.P.Sreekumar, Professor(RC) has been nominated as the Professor in charge of International co-operation of KVASU.
