Farmers of Kasargod demand instant Antibiotic sensitivity test to control Mastitis

Farmer Scientist interaction for the Farmers of Kasargod and Manjewsar Blocks were held at Government Guest House, Kasargod on 27th March 2014. District Animal Husbandry Officer Dr.Sajeev inaugurated the programme. Deputy Director Dr. P. Narendran Nair presided over the function.Directorate of Entrepreneurship of KVASU and Animal Husbandry Department, Kasargod jointly organised this programme. Dr.Rajalakshmi, Dr.G.K.Mahesh, Dr.Jayaprakash, Dr.T.P.Sethumadhavan and Miss. Anju interacted with farmers. Poor quality of Cattle feed, need for c, need for oral vaccine to control FMD, decreasing return from livestock, need for round the clock Veterinary services, cost effective cattle feed and climate friendly housing systems are the impportant issues/ felt needs raised by the Dairy Farmers.
