09NSS Units of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy along with Community Health Centre, Vellanikkara had organized a programme with a theme “Anti Tobacco Campaign” at Thrissur on 5/4/2014. The programme involved Rally, Tableau and street drama highlighting the ill effects of use of tobacco and narcotics. Flagging off the Rally was carried out by Dr. V. V. Venus, DMO, Thrissur. NSS Programme Co-Ordinator Dr. C. B. Manomohan, NSS programme officers, Dr. C. Latha and Dr. Ajith Jacob George and officials from Health Department and 200 NSS volunteers had participated in the programme. Anti tobacco message was given by Dr. C. O. Job, Superintendent, CHC, Vellanikkara and Akarsh. P welcomed the gathering and Silpa sasi delivered vote of thanks.
